The Miniature Earth

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

One of the best visual presentations that we have ever seen is here – The Miniature Earth.

Use of text with photographs is done exquisitely and deserves a look more than once. The content is presented in a lucid fashion complementing each of the images in an intimate manner. There is a very balanced use of transparencies and each transition is made very meaningful.

Beyond doubt, this presentation has not just an important message to deliver, but scores on each point of making a powerfully impacting, visual presentation.

How many subtleties did you notice in the presentation? Look forward to hearing from you! :)

Draw Your Business Model – Alex Osterwalder & Xplane

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Visual thinking and visual explanations are finding their feet in traditional business thinking, slowly yet surely.

Alex Osterwalder is the author @ http://business-model-design.blogspot.com/ and has created this presentation about drawing your business model along with Xplane – the leader’s in Visual Communication. :)

The presentation needs to be seen in full screen mode.

It shows how can a business model be drawn and raises a pertinent question as to why should it be drawn?

Look at the slide containing the complete business model. It is one snapshot covering the entire business and try thinking of it words and you’d have your business plan.

1 Slide = The complete Business Model. That’s the power of Visual Thinking. :)

How do apply it to our lives, apart from just Business, is now long overdue and is a presentation from Ken Watanabe’s book – Problem Solving 101. Hang on people! It is on its way! :)

Leadership Lessons from Obama

Monday, March 16th, 2009

Received a fabulous, well pictualized presentation enlisting the Leadership Lessons from Obama. Very succinctly and yet powerfully expressed.

The presentation had to be showcased @ Pictualize, since it served two very important reasons:

  • It is an immaculate display of the power of Pictualization.
  • The presentation conveys seemingly simple, actionable and yet very effective steps to develop ones leadership skills.

The presentation can be viewed @ Slideboom here and @ Slideshare here.

Note: The presentation has not been created by Pictualize and was received as an email forward. We would be glad to acknowledge the creator of the presentation, if known.
